Tahini - it always needs to be mixed when opening....there is a separation of the oil from the paste. My guess is peanut butter! I'll have to try this in a recipe.

Peanut Butter but that is still a very different flavor.

what an interesting idea! almond butter, peanut butter, perhaps with a splash of sesame oil for flavor. hmmm. that casts a whole new light on the process and the possibilities. where is my white bean hummus recipe?
How about cashew butter with sesame oil. So close but still not tahini.. Of the guesses offered peanut butter is close. Love your posts, kim
Peanut butter is the closest to flavor and texture, but I'd use almond butter as a sub.
