Other People's Pantries #34

From Jan (Fresh Eyes), in San Jose, California:

Let's just say that I was motivated to "pantry polish" by family members' major moves (my parents' a few years ago after 40+ years in their home, for one). A move is a big job any time. Moves to smaller homes are a special challenge all their own.

I decided at the beginning of 2008 to move through our house OH SO SLOWLY, one drawer, one cupboard at a time and started with the kitchen in the month of January. I still hope to end the year having completed the "home simplification" project. It's no guarantee I'll get it done, but I'm still trying!

Thanks for the inspiration to move on to the next part of the "home roll through."

Jan

On Saturdays, we peek into Other People's Pantries.

Come on -- show us your pantry.

Here's how.

A worthy goal one I'm trying to work on this very moment! Wish my pantry will this neat!

What a great idea! I may have to make that one of my goals for 2009... I'd love to simplify my pantry, etc.

I don't think I could do that in a year. Not to my pantry alone, surely not to the rest of the closets.

I've only really got a fridge and a few cupboards :(

Damn this house is too small...

A nice and neat pantry!

Wow, our pantry is just as big but 3x as full. And nowhere near as organized as this. I wish we could organize better.

Your kitchen is so organized! I think it's a great goal to organize and sort through your house. I live in a small condo with my husband, and we've only been here a few months, but I imagine how it can get when you live in the same house for many years!

Wow, you are so tidy and organized. You have done a great job paring down and getting to the essentials.

This is my pantry, and your comments made me smile. Other parts of the house have been harder because I'm, uh, "blessed" by what my mother used to say she had, too, "a passion for the printed page."

I may finish the full house in 2008, but more likely, not, so it's a goal that will roll into 2009.

Thanks for your comments, and good luck with your own goals, whatever they are.
