Yeast! And yes. In the freezer.

I wouldn't be without it in my pantry! YEAST

It's yeast! And yes, I have some in my pantry.

yeast

S. cerevisiae or Baker's yeast!

I didn't know it, but I do now!

Yeast.

Yeast! That's how bread rises.

Yeast, and I do not have it in my pantry.
I haven't had good results the few times that I have tried working with it, and now pretty much avoid makeing things that use it.

Yeast! I've got an open jar of active dry in the fridge, an unopened jar in a cupboard, several envelopes of pizza crust yeast in another cupboard, and some wild yeasts (eating flour though, then converting that to sugars and farting--boy, that's sounding tasty) in the sourdough starter on the counter.

(But I've no idea what the photo is--the corner of Fleischmann's, perhaps?)

Thanks, Lydia!

Yeast! I have it in a plastic container in my freezer. It stays fresher that way! Buy in bulk and freeze. I'm still working on the 2 lb. bag I was given as a house warming gift two years ago. The date doesn't matter when it's in the freezer.

Yeast! Got it.

Yeast - keep in fridge.

Did I even know this???
