Happy Holidays

This photo, from December 2012, remains one of my favorite images of our little log house. (Yesterday, all of the recent snow melted in 50-degree weather. It's more like mud season around here.) Though it represents a lot of shoveling to cut a path in the snow from the house to the driveway (which then gets attended to by a plow guy -- a necessity out here in the woods), it's a beautiful view of the fresh snow. Clean, like it never looks in the city. Whenever we leave, I will miss this place. I won't miss the shoveling, but I'll miss the clean white snow.

Now, on to the happys: happy snowballs, happy wrapping paper, happy parade of roses, happy weird sweaters, happy day of rest, happy day of eats, happy day of football.

With best wishes for holiday joy, from The Perfect Pantry to your pantry.

Happy holidays, Lydia! Love this photo! :-)

Shirley

Merry Christmas Lydia to you and your family. Eat well, laugh a lot and enjoy!

Mallika, thank you!

Shirley, this is one of my favorite photos, though I confess I'm glad not to have this much snow this year.

Bellini, wishing you and your family the very best of holiday seasons.

Happy Holidays to you, too, Lydia.
What a magnificent photo. You hit the nail on the head, it's not like this in the city. Ten minutes after snowfall ends, cars turn the beauty into a dirty mess.

Your home is idyllic. Thanks for sharing, and for giving so much of yourself.

Connie, thanks so much. Honestly, I'm glad we don't have this snow again this year! But it is beautiful in our part of the world when Mother Nature decides to visit snow upon us. Have wonderful holidays!

Hope you have a great holiday!

Kalyn, of course I wish you the same! And it might look more like my photo where you are.

Happy Holidays, Lydia! I love this photo!

Hope you had a happy everything!
