The Pantry Alphabet: H

The-pantry-alphabet-h

What is it?

Do you have this ingredient in your pantry?

Which of these recipes from The Perfect Pantry contains today's ingredient?

1. Grilled tofu with soba noodles
2. Cold sesame noodles
3. Broccoli eggrolls

When you guess which recipe contains the ingredient, please leave only the number 1, 2 or 3 in the comments below. Please don't leave the name of the ingredient, so others can have fun guessing, too. And let us know if you have this in your pantry.

(Spoiler alert: It's not smelly, and that's a good thing.)

See you next Saturday, for the letter I.

Last week: ginger (also called ginger root or fresh ginger).

#1 and mentioned in #3! I have had it in my pantry before, but do not have any currently!

I'm confused ... I saw it in 1 and 3 :-)

CJ, a little bit tricky! But H is only an ingredient in one of the recipes.

Good ol' H -- #1 uses so much, that big bottle mentioned by Patricia would be a big help! Don't use it often enough, but it makes tastes come together just right.

1, but I don't use it.

#1. I have it, and I used it last week!

1 and mentioned in 3. A must for me as I love the flavour.

1. and it is on my shopping list - I ran out last week!

#2 And I am out of it!

Yes, yes, it is a staple in my pantry, too (and I partly blame you for making me a pantry hoarder:)
It's in your Soba Noodles recipe, but I use it in a variety of dishes. Interesting recipe for a fake one! Good to know:)
