Why, it's # 3 of course!

3. I always have a supply of this and use it at least twice a week. There is similar tasting and looking "pantry item" that also begins with G.

I don't think I have in my pantry, but I'm off to see the recipes and find out.

#3! I really needed help with that one -- great photo (ie, deceptive). Not only do I have it and use it regularly, I have a healthy plant, thanks to the post on The Perfect Pantry... busy growing fingers.
(Now, will someone bake some of those #2 cookies to share?)

#3 I've only started using this ingredient in its natural state the last several years. It's a magical ingredient in my opinion and is regarded as a super food by many.

I have to admit I was stumped and convinced I was looking a slice of Gherkin! But now I agree with everyone else and realized what it was and yes I keep a finger or two in my freezer!

If I had seen this before so many people confirmed it was #3 I would have been completely stumped. This is one of my favorite ingredients!

#3, and I keep mine in a zip-lock bag in the freezer.
I like all the information about cloves. Interesting that there was a chewing gum made out of cloves for Prohibition!

1, 2, & 3. I would use it in all. Right now I have it in 4 different forms in my pantry, and in many more items.

Yes, I believe it's recipe 3, and I too love this ingredient. Clever hint!

Yes it's #3. I love this also and have it in my fridge more often than not. This and lemon are my favorite fresh scents in cooking!
