Market to Pantry #5: Roadside stands and Centro Mercado, San Ramon, Costa Rica
From Jen (A New Life in Costa Rica), in San Ramon, Costa Rica:
Hola! I live in the Santiago, San Ramon in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica. One of my favorite places to shop is roadside stands. Nothing better than stopping to pick up a watermelon as you head to the beach.
The other two photos are of the fruit stands at the Centro Mercado in San Ramon.
I look forward to sharing more. This is an awesome feature.
On Saturdays, for more than two years, we've been peeking into Other People's Pantries all around the world.
*There are seven more pantries to share. If you'd like this feature to continue -- if you've been meaning to send your photos but haven't gotten around to it -- please send in your pantry photos. Here's how.
And, please put your camera to work on Market to Pantry, alternating on Saturdays with Other People's Pantries. There are six more markets to share.
Come on -- show us your favorite supermarket, farmer's market, ethnic market, big box store or roadside stand. We'd love to see where you shop for food! Here's how.

I love produce markets in Latin America - the variety is excellent and always ready to eat - but never rotten - and affordable!!! It is totally a feast for your eyes, also! My only problem is leaving the store will only the amount of food I can reasonably eat prior to it going bad! Thanks for sending this in!

Oh, this is a lovely surprise on a dreary day in Wisconsin.
BTW, I received my Yankee Magazine today and guess who was in it? Good for you, Lydia!
