Happy holidays, from The Perfect Pantry to your pantry

Log house

To all who have visited The Perfect Pantry this year, I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy (and delicious) new year, in a peaceful world.

Please celebrate the generosity of the season by joining with food bloggers all around the world to raise funds for the benefit of the United Nations World Food Programme through Menu for Hope.

Tomorrow is the last day to place your $10 bids on items including kitchenware, restaurant gift certificates, homemade goodies, and our own bid item, generously donated by The Spice House in Chicago: a deluxe gift box of Ethnic Chicago Neighborhood spice blends, and Chicago Cooks, a wonderful cookbook created by Les Dames d'Escoffier.

This is the perfect gift for Chicago lovers, residents, visitors, and anyone who has room for a few more goodies on their spice rack.

The item number is #UE15. It's valued at $80, and could be yours for a $10 bid!

To place your bid, and to see all items up for bid from food bloggers everywhere, follow this link to Chez Pim.

Your house looks lovely and "home"-ish. Where's your 2 feet of snow?
Cold winter is a good time to think of other people's hunger.

Susan, oh yes, we have snow! But last year's holiday greeting photo shows the house in snow, so this year I chose a photo from last month, when the garden was just nearing its end of bloom. I love the colors of garden in November. Or maybe I'm in denial about the snow....

Cheers!!! And Happy Holidays!

Here's wishing you happy holidays, and may we all bring some more ingenious recipes in the new year.

Happy Holidays! We postponing Christmas travel due to sleet and snow storm moving this way today. It was a short trip, but could be dangerously slick. We will just stretch the season with another day to celebrate :) We have a back up plan for dinner for 2 tomorrow.

Have a lovely holiday and a wonderful new year.

Love seeing the picture of your house! Such a nice place to hang out.

Happy Holidays, Lydia!
