I love dried apricots too, apricot anything really! And my house was the same growing up, with regards to prunes that is. My brother and I used to drink prune juice from shot glasses. (We were strange children, what can I say.)

I'm going to incorporate dried apricots into the cranberry sauce this year for a little bit of a zing. Thanks for this great recipe, Lydia -- it's a terrific way I could use some dried figs that I have sitting around in my fridge!
